Virginia release information is spread across several kinds of public records. A current roster answers a different question from a release document. Court orders explain legal outcomes, while corrections results may show custody or ongoing supervision. Federal records have a separate scope. This site organizes those distinctions in one place and emphasizes the evidence needed to tell a community release from a transfer. It does not replace the official record or make a custody decision.

Limits of This Site
Appomattox County Released Inmates is privately operated. It is not connected with the Appomattox County Sheriff, BRRJA, VADOC, any court, or any other government body. It cannot:
- release, hold, or transfer a person in custody;
- post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a visitor;
- provide legal advice or interpret a court order for a reader; or
- guarantee that every agency phone number, fee, schedule, or public record remains unchanged.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, corrections agency, or court can confirm an official custody, charge, release, or supervision record.
