Contact Us

Custody and release questions must go to the public office that owns the record. Appomattox County has separate contacts for Sheriff records, BRRJA detention records, Virginia corrections files, supervision, and court orders. The details below help route a focused request and identify the correct source before a call or message. This private site cannot look up a private file, confirm that someone has left custody, post bond, or change an official record on a visitor's behalf.

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that created or holds the record.

Choose the Correct Route

These pages provide context before contacting an office:

  • Use the home page for the complete release search and record-request process.
  • Check Post-Release Supervision for parole, probation, and District 24.
  • Use the 24-Hour Releases coverage for a precisely dated same-day request.
  • Compare a projected date through Release Date Lookup and use VINE Inmate Check for local jail event notices.
  • Select a detention facility from the footer when the holding site is known.
  • Use the VADOC locator for a state prisoner, BOP for a federal sentence, and ICE ODLS only for current immigration detention.
